Welcome to
the site of Madelaine Georgette, whose artwork is a visual commentary
on current issues such as Climate Change and Global Warming using
mixed media in a variety of techniques.
Madelaine's
goals are to evoke awareness through the visual arts and stimulate
action on issues of environmental, political and social-justice
concerns.
Recent work
focuses on a series concerning Global Warming with an emphasis on
Climate Changes in the Arctic. A previous series, consisting of 48
artworks, visually portrays the impacts of Apartheid and the process
used by South Africa's Truth, Justice and Reconciliation Commission to
deal with crimes committed during the Apartheid era.
Earlier work shown in this website's
galleries include intensely colorful oil paintings of landscapes,
interiors, figures and images of her native South Africa. Madelaine
currently shares her time between her studios in Seattle, WA and
Paris, France.
